John Gibson was born in Huntington Park, California, and has spent his entire life in the Los Angeles area. At the age of seven he was given a Kodak camera; he has never stopped shooting.
While attending El Rancho High School, John became news and yearbook staff photographer. After graduation he attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College, where he learned the fundamentals of still photography, working with 4x5 and 8x10 view cameras. He went on to study cinematography at Los Angeles City College, working as a tutor within the cinematography department as he enriched his knowledge of photography.
For more than thirty-five years, John has been a commercial and corporate photographer. His love of fine art photography has always influenced his work. A short time ago, he decided to create a collection of unique, eclectic photo images, which are, for the most part, abstract. With a real passion for his work, John has created more than 400 images, and the number continues to grow.
